Dr. Luis Cardenas is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received his dental degree from Javeriana University School of Dentistry in Bogotá , Colombia in 1983 and completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston , Massachusetts in 1992. In addition, Dr. Cardenas has completed two clinical and research fellowships in Craniofacial and Orthognathic surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas , Texas . He has trained and worked with several world-renowned Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, giving him expertise in the area of major Craniofacial Reconstruction.

Dr. Cardenas lectures internationally on such topics as dental facial deformities and temporomandibular joint disorders. He also teaches new Craniofacial surgical techniques to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in underdeveloped countries.

Dr. Cardenas’s special surgical interests are in the fields of orthognathic, temporomandibular joint, cleft lip and Palate surgery. His advanced training in Craniofacial surgery enables him to offer specialized treatment to patients with complex facial deformities.
